Scientists used retrospective data (data from past patient cases) to develop an AI framework that can screen chest CT images for possible signs of COVID19. This tool can be used as an effective aid to radiologists when it comes to diagnosing COVID19 from chest CTs.

A collaboration between scientists at UCSF and Mammoth Biosciences lead to the development of a test that can detect SARS-CoV-2 infection in as little as 40 minutes. Their method involves CRISPR-Cas12 and RT-LAMP and offers a quick, point-of-care, easily interpretable test.
